Bored in Church

September 25th, 2009

The adults in our small group recently decided that the children should have a little class of their own, instead of playing the entire time.  Last time we met we brought them upstairs to break the news to them.  There was a certain amount of reluctance on their part to leave their games and join the adults.

I had forgotten what it was like to be a kid and reluctant to join the adults. I remember being upset the first time I couldn’t go to junior church anymore.   I remember all those missions prayer meetings…(especially the one with the horse, Tara!)….so hard to focus.

  2. No, I think what they are doing is really good. I think it was good my parents made me go to prayer meeting…but I also think it is normal for the kids to be not quite as involved as the adults…

  3. Oh, I think there are 6 families in the group? 4 with kids, 2 without.
