Bored in Church
September 25th, 2009The adults in our small group recently decided that the children should have a little class of their own, instead of playing the entire time. Last time we met we brought them upstairs to break the news to them. There was a certain amount of reluctance on their part to leave their games and join the adults.
I had forgotten what it was like to be a kid and reluctant to join the adults. I remember being upset the first time I couldn’t go to junior church anymore. I remember all those missions prayer meetings…(especially the one with the horse, Tara!)….so hard to focus.
are you saying the kids should have been left alone or something else done with them? how many in the small group?
No, I think what they are doing is really good. I think it was good my parents made me go to prayer meeting…but I also think it is normal for the kids to be not quite as involved as the adults…
Oh, I think there are 6 families in the group? 4 with kids, 2 without.
