Pest Proliferation Problems?

September 24th, 2009

1)  Two fully weeks of school = two full weeks of forgetting to take out the trash.  I’m afraid to look in the trash can to see what might be growing in there.  Maybe we should barricade the door to the garage just in case.

2)  There is, at this very moment, a LIVE giant cricket in the laundry basket with the dark clothes.  Aaaaagh!  How did he get there?  What should I do?

  1. don’t worry about the trash-do you recycle?
the cricket jumped in and wants to eat the clothes
    give him a bath

  2. Isn’t taking out the trash men’s work? :)

  3. 1) The idea of squashed cricket- even nicely cleaned- in my clean laundry was decidedly unappealing.

    2) The cricket apparently escaped out the bottom of the hamper, which is designed to strain out anything smaller than underwear.

    3) Of course I recycle!

    4) Early this morning I awoke to the feeling of little crickety feet on my FACE. I swiped and missed. I heard him land on my nightstand.

    5) Women today do all sorts of odd things- vote- even in church congregations- work outside the home. What’s a little trash, particularly with a driveway as short as ours? Anyway, I take it out, CJ brings it in.

  4. 1-with any luck he would have been “washed enough” to go out with the rinse water
2-he didn’t really escape he was out to hunt you!
3-good then there shouldn’t be much to take out, so if you miss a week no big deal?
4-so is the night stand now smashed?
5-how can you vote in church if you are not a member?-I do most of the trash also

  5. 1- they never go completely. There’s always a leg or something, usually a big, meaty back leg.
2- it seems that he found me. Aaaaagh!
3- But I missed TWO weeks!
4- No way. I didn’t want squished cricket on any of my books.
5- I cannot vote in church. I was speaking generally, of course! As for the trash, go Aunty!
