Teacher Strike in London

April 24th, 2008

From a BBC news article, quoting one striker talking to another:

“I knew I’d find you here, because the crowd’s alphabetical.”

  1. I’m trying to understand this:
Do you mean the teachers were having a strike and they lined up alphabetically??
If so, I love it….I can imagine them filling out a KWL chart before the strike, having a ‘debrief’ after, complete with a homework assignment to do– prob a BCR on the whole experience.

Teachers can kill just about any experience with a homework assignment, can’t they? haha

  2. That was my interpretation of the comment.

I also picture the teachers doing it without even really thinking about it…part of me just shrieks with laughter over the thought.

  3. I guess my post wasn’t very clear, Kiki…I added a little bit to try to clarify. I don’t think the article actually said the speaker was a teacher- I just assumed it.
