“One is not justified by faith by believing in justification by faith. One is justified by faith by believing in Jesus.”

I certainly never expected my first posted quote to be from N.T. Wright.

Hopefully this is an example of a quote you do agree with!

Who was N.T. Wright?

N.T. Wright is the Bishop of Durham (and thus, Anglican). He is known for his work on a "New Perspective on Paul." He is a theologian. American evangelicals have a hard time categorizing him (or they have an easy time and are probably wrong). You can go here to read his sermons and articles by him and about him. You'll probably disagree with him strongly on some issues and then be amazed by his insights on others.

I read one of his lectures on the authority of scripture...impressive!

I liked his attitude because it wasn't prideful...going along with that, he seems to be a person who realizes that God is huge—so huge that no one person can possibly grasp Him. He treats the Bible in the same way. However, this attitude of his doesn't stop him from trying to get a handle on what one should do.
